We were very grateful that they caught it in the NICU and discharged her on Prilosec. Sometime in October after Lily was already at her maximum dosage of Prilosec (4 ml's/day), she started to have projectile vomiting and was put on an additional medication called Axid. Since going on Axid her vomiting had subsided a lot, and her pediatrician has continued to up the dose anytime we saw signs that it wasn't working, so currently she is taking 1.7 ml's, twice per day, in additon to the Prilosec.
Chris and I were just talking and neither of us have witnessed a vomit or spit-up in over a week...so either the medication is working really well or she has maybe grown out of her reflux, either way, it is great. We were getting so used to living in vomit everywhere, are clothes, furniture, her toys...we hardly even noticed that she had stopped!
We also want to say congratulations to Tiff and Joe who welcomed beautiful little Ashlyn Marie into the world on January 16th! Lily is very excited about a new playmate and very jealous about all of Ashlyn's hair (well, I don't know if Lily is, but I am!) Congratulations to you and welcome to the most exciting, exhausting, funny, emotional, surprising, challenging, rewarding, scary, greatest, fullfilling, overwhelming and best part of your life yet - being parents! Don't be afraid to ask for help, call us if you need us!

My New Year's Resolution is to finally take off this baby weight. I had gained 33 pounds during my short pregnancy, and we all know that not much of that was Lily, and have lost 20, but need to take off the last 13 pounds. So, I am getting back to eating better and I am going to at least try and walk on the treadmill after Lily goes to bed, it is so hard to find any time to workout, but I am going to try.
We are excited about what 2009 will bring!
Lily is really excited about all the new playmates she will have this year:
Baby Aiello due January - it's a girl
Wishing you all happy and healthy pregnancies!
I guess it's the year of the baby around here!
